We started our business because we are passionate about quality sound reproduction. We also do enjoy the process of designing and building nice looking high quality tube amplifiers.

We could just buy a metal box and stuff it with components but that would not reflect the spirit behind Underground Sound. We would like to think that the eye, not just the ears, deserve a slice of the audio experience.

The Audio experience is a holistic experience. Having the satisfaction of listening to beautiful music and being able the look at the simplicity of the equipment that produces that beautiful sound just adds another dimension.

Valve amplification is honest. Unlike it's solid state counter part, there is not much trickery employed. If you ever looked under the bonnet of a solid state amplifier you know what I am talking about. A lot of circuitry is used to correct problems and to get the amplifier to measure in a particular way. Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) is a fine example. Less is not best but yet it is still sold as such. We could go on and on but you get the idea.

That, after all, is why you are looking at valve amplification.
