The tube buffer is of the cathode follower type with a low output impedance. This makes it easy for the buffer to drive long interconnects if required or to drive low impedance loads. The Tortuga Audio ePotV3 Mini volume control has a 20K ohm input impedance and does not present a difficult load on the source (eg. CD player).
Volume is controlled via an Apple remote. In addition to volume up/down, the remote allows left/right balance and mute.
The Tortuga Audio ePotV3 Mini is a no contact attenuator utilizing Light Dependen Resistors (LDR) to attenuate the signal. A discrete module can be purchased separately and is easy to exchange if so desired.
